THE DELOREAN

The train also has a cute little feature. I hadn't completely given up on the Delorean, so I added a trunk at the back, which when opened reveals the world renowned back to the future Delorean!

BACK TO THE

FUTURE

5th Grade - 7th grade

During primary school, I had a huge obsession with time-travel. So seeing back to the future was one of the most amazing moments of my life. Motivated by a passionate desire to craft things, I started off by trying to build the Delorean. It really frustrated me, because I was never able to get the proportion right. I saved that idea for another project, and instead made the train. This was the train from the third sequel of Back to the Future. I built it out of black paper and tape, along with some toothpicks. The silver parts of the train were made out of black paper that I spray-painted. Of course, the train flew in the movie, which was why I added strings and handles to help fly it or hang it up. This train was my toy, and I could reform it any way I wanted.

Back in 5th grade, I really looked up to a Youtube celebrity named Goldentusk. Though his videos were not so popular in my generation, I still loved his videos, and his Back to the Future music video only inspired me further. Yes, his video effects are a little bit cheesy, but cleverness and creativity of that extent is undoubtably rare.

Another inspiration that came from that movie was the composer, Alan Silvestri. He was an increadibly talented composer, who also composed songs for Forest Gump. His music always gives off a radiant atmosphere, and played a huge role in creating some of the top movies of all time. His music is what inspired me to join band, and continue to play drums.

Goldentusk and Alan Silvestri have been an increadible to not only my crafts but to my music and video making skills. This Back to the Future train was my craft that satisfied my fascination for Back to the Future.

What may be going through your head is why on earth is there a drawing of plane in the Back to the Future article. Actually, this is my own take on the time machine Delorean. Originally, this was an idea concept for my next comic (which is why there's a compartment for the time machine chip). Based of features from the Back to the Future Delorean, I made a small blueprint of a fictional aircraft. If I create another comic, which I hopefully will, I would definitely add this nifty invention to the story.
